Terms of Service

Welcome to mukk. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Mukker Agreement. Please read all three.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use mukk. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your login secure. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else, or misrepresent your identity, age, or gender.

3. How mukk Works

mukk connects people for real-world fitness activities ("mukks"). When you post or join a mukk:

• You're responsible for showing up as agreed, or letting the host/other participants know if your plans change
• Exact meeting locations are shared only with accepted participants, as a safety measure
• Your reliability rating reflects your attendance history and is visible to other users

4. Signing Fee and Codes

• Joining mukk requires a one-off signing fee, unless you're using a valid gym partner code or founder code, which waives this fee entirely
• This is currently the only cost to use mukk. We may introduce additional paid features in the future as a separate subscription. A code covers today's signing fee only, not any future paid features
• All payments are processed through Apple or Google's official billing systems
• Signing fees are non-refundable except as required by law

5. Your Conduct

By using mukk, you agree to treat other mukkers with respect, and not use the app to harass, threaten, or endanger anyone, share false information, or use mukk for anything other than genuine fitness/social connection.

You specifically agree not to:

• Impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity, age, or gender
• Solicit money, goods, or services from other users
• Use mukk to promote a business, sell products, or advertise without our permission
• Post or share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, or that harasses, threatens, or demeans another person
• Share another user's personal information without their consent
• Create multiple accounts, or an account on behalf of someone else
• Use bots, scrapers, or any automated means to access or collect data from mukk
• Attempt to circumvent any safety feature, including Block, Report, or Vibes Off

6. Third-Party Services

mukk connects with services provided by other companies, each under their own terms:

• Apple Health / Google Health Connect: read-only activity import, mukk never writes data back
• OpenAI: used only for the optional "help me word this" mukk-drafting feature
• RevenueCat: manages subscription status
• Apple App Store / Google Play: all payments processed directly through these platforms

7. Safety and Moderation

mukk uses both automated systems and human review to help keep the platform safe. We reserve the right to review messages and mukk content for safety concerns, investigate reports, and suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our discretion, without prior notice in serious cases.

8. Physical Activity Risk

mukk is a platform for arranging activities between users. mukk does not organise, supervise, or take responsibility for the activities themselves.

Participating in physical activity carries inherent risk of injury. You are responsible for your own health and fitness to participate in any activity you join. mukk is not liable for injuries, accidents, or incidents that occur during or as a result of a mukk. Use your own judgement about meeting new people and participating in physical activities, particularly for first-time meetups.

9. Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant mukk a licence to display it within the app as necessary to operate the service.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold mukk harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your conduct in connection with a mukk you've attended or hosted.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, the Mukker Agreement, or applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mukk is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of mukk after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
