About mukk

I found my fittest self in my 40s, like a lot of us. Since then, every year I've signed up for something I'm not fit enough to do, trained, and achieved it. This year I had a ticket to Sydney's World Major Marathon.

I'd just moved back to the Beaches early this year, right as I had to start training away from the friends I'd found this fitness with, and a very late passion for running. I spent so much of my training block solo, long runs were the hardest, and it's fuelled the idea for this app.

I have always thought of my life as busy-lonely.

Busy-lonely is a thing.

Just genuinely busy with life, especially in this 40-plus stretch where you have to get up at 5am to do something for yourself. You can be single, or in a relationship, have a million friends, and still have none of them want to do that one thing with you.

I wanted to create a digital space that gives people a reason to move, meet, and connect in real life.

Every day I hear a new case for mukk. People are changing their way of living, more people are focusing on fitness and being active, and so many are finding this later in life. Connection is so important for us humans in a wildly digital world.

It doesn't have to be a sport, or you don't have to just be training for a massive event (although you could find someone that excites you to!) it could just be a regular walk and a coffee, anything that gets you moving and connecting with life.

So come run a mukk with me.
